Learn to Row, both junior and senior, has been going really well so far this summer.
A junior course ran last week (26-29 July) with 20 trainees, a few more than expected, but the coaches coped, with great help from established juniors and an extra body in a launch. Weather was good after the first day and people got out in everything from stable singles through doubles and quads to the oct. As usual some of the newbies by the end of the week looked as if they had been rowing for a year or two!

The junior course on the last day - a bit grey but nice water
There have been two senior courses, each of about 12 trainees. One finished in June and the second is running now until late August. All seem really keen and those who have already graduated now form the first half of the novice squad, getting out on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
What we do when the post-Rio rush arrives we are not sure!
