We ran a Tyne Head virtual event over our original date weekend, as Covid has wiped out the real thing. We are kept to a long distance head race format, but with a run as well.
What was on offer
We offered either a 5km erg or a 5km run (or you could have done both). They were for single rowers/runners only - no crew or team events. Categories as per the poster were Juniors, Seniors, Masters and Students for both Open and Women. Masters events for rowing were by age class (only Cs & Ds needed to be grouped and on handicaps). Juniors were grouped as well as ot many entries.
Times and winners
Well done to all those who participated. The times and winners list can be downloaded just below. Fastest erg times on the day (on adjusted time) were for men Ian Boyd from Tyne ARC with 16m 41s and for women Hilary Cairns from Berwick on 19m 15s.
