This is the page for the AGM of Tyne Amateur Rowing Club on 24 July 2024. Apart from the first section detailing what was agreed at the meeting, the rest of the page describes what notice was given and what papers were sent out and when.
What was agreed on the night
Draft minutes will be issued shortly (as at 06-08-24). The constitution as put to the meeting was agreed with the addition of the five words in italics:
[11] General meetings of members
(1) Types of general meeting
(c) The annual general meeting or an extraordinary general meeting must receive the annual statement of accounts (duly audited or examined where applicable) and the trustees’ annual report, and must elect trustees as required under clause [13] and officers and ordinary members of the Rowing Committee as required under clause [18].
The constitution thus agreed came into immediate effect and was sent to the Charity Commission on 6 August 24 for information, as required. The newly agreed and superseded versions of the constitution and tracked changes between the two are downloadable here as pdfs:

* tracked changes between the two
The Trustees and the Rowing Committee officers and members as nominated in the papers circulated with the agenda on 08-07-24 (see below) were all agreed nem con. The Governance page on this web site has been updated accordingly.
Other decisions and summaries of discussions at the AGM will be shown in the draft minutes expected shortly.
AGM arrangements before the meeting
An invitation to attend and to make nominations for Trustee and Rowing Committee places was emailed out to members eligible to vote on 23 May 2024 and is downloadable below along with other documents enclosed with it or sent out a short time later.
The formal notice of the meeting was emailed out to members eleigible to vote on 8 July 2024, giving at least 14 clear days before the date of the meeting, as required. The covering email as sent out then and the documents for the AGM as attached to the email are downloadable below.
